Del Reeves Biography

In a career that began in the mid-1950s and continued through to the 1990s, he recorded prolifically, releasing more than 25 albums including duets with Billie Jo Spears, Bobby Goldsboro and Penny DeHaven. He placed more than 50 hits on the Billboard country charts, many of which are included on this compilation, most appearing on CD for the first time.

Del Reeves was one of the leading lights of the truck-driving genre and one of the most successful country singers of the 1960's. He was often called the "Dean Martin" of Country Music, straddling the fine line between country and pop and was a popular country music star for more than three decades.
