Patty Loveless Biography

One of Nashville's finest female vocalists, Patty Loveless is that unique artist who has been a bridge between traditional and contemporary country music. Over the years she has built a reputation for heartache and lament songs that give her voice full cry. Her albums are full of sad, lonesome ballads with a more traditional vocal styling than most of Nashville's female singers. Part of Patty's approach to music has come from spending her youth in Kentucky's coal-mining country. She has maintained a close link to that area in her music, which is probably best described as contemporary mountain music with more than a hint of honky-tonk heartache.
